Push, pull, carry, drag and lift – the Yoke does it all like a boss

The Yoke is great for:
Pushing: The yoke has skid feet that let you push it like a sled. Adjust the cross bar to drive it from different angles. Add weight plates to increase resistance. Yoke bench press, bench press the yoke itself. Yoke press / overhead press
Pulling: Attach a battle rope and pull it.
Carrying: Carry it in your arms, in a Zercher carry or on your shoulders in a yoke walk; the yoke walk is a great full body workout!
Squatting: Yoke squat (front / back squat), Zercher squat.
Pull Ups: Fat grip pullups, kipping pullups
Throwing things over: A medicine ball, sand bags for bag over bar, muscle a atlas stone over it.
Jump overs: Adjust the cross bar and use it for up and overs.
Squat rack: Use the Yoke as a squat rack for all barbell exercises, bench press, barbell squat, overhead press, deadlifts etc.

What accessories can you get for the Yoke?

The Rogue Y1 and Rogue Y2 Yokes have 2×3 uprights and are compatible with Infinity accessories so you can buy attachments like the Rogue spotter arms, the Matador dip bar, the Rogue landmine, landmine handle, Viking press and many more. Hows that for a versatile squat rack!

You can also add a thinner Titan Fitness slim pull up bar as an alternative to the adjustable fat grip crossbar.

Considerations for getting a yoke as a versatile squat rack alternative?

As the Rogue Y-1 Yoke is 72″ tall, if you are using it also as a rack and you are taller than 5″10 you may want to get the Y-2 Yoke which is 92″ tall so you can put the adjustable cross bar up higher when squatting so it does not get in the way of your head when racking / re-racking your barbell.
An alternative to getting the Y2 if you are wanting to stick with the Y1 with the 72″ height (which may be easier to get in and out of your garage) could be using spotter arms to unrack / re-rack your barbell when doing squats, but you then wouldn’t have the option of being able to use safety spotters to catch the barbell whilst performing squats.

If using the yoke in a yoke carry and you want to carry it in / out of your garage you will need to check the height of your garage door.

If lifting heavy loads or doing things like kipping pullups or dips make sure you have plenty of extra weight plates to weigh the yoke down as although it is pretty strong and sturdy with the yoke weighing 185lbs this will add a lot of extra stability to the yoke.

When performing pullups on Rogue Y1 Yoke (72″) you may need to bend your knees for pullups so if that is an issue for you the Rogue Y2 may be better.
